Leading expert in materials engineering and ceramic technology. Rector of AGH University since 2020. He has been associated with AGH since 1973 and has held roles including Head of the Department of Ceramic and Refractory Materials, Dean, and Vice-Rector for Collaboration. Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and World Academy of Ceramics. Recognized internationally, including as Fellow of the European Ceramic Society and recipient of the American Ceramic Society’s Bridge Building Award.
